Our New Workshop

Although our contract sewers are among the best in LA, and we will keep using them whenever we get as busy as we are right now, or when we need special skills, we decided we could do best by our clients by setting up a production workshop of our own employees, working full-time for us--which means for you!
It's almost ready, as you'll see in the photo.
So soon we'll be able to get bigger jobs done faster and better, with hands-on real-time quality control to help our clients be more responsive to the market--and make their customers happy.

Tuesday, November 9th
Another Busy Season
We have just released a huge order from one of our name clients--it will be sold under their "green label" line, and is sewn using mostly natural or recycled materials--very sweet!And this very large job went much easier thanks to our new intern, Erika.
Erika is a real gem. She was born into the business: her mom is a sample maker for a name designer in Beverly Hills, and Erika herself attended Woodbury University to study fashion design. She came to us already fluent in PATS and the other computerized systems we use to speed things along, and is a very quick study besides. She's integrated well into our operations, and we'll be hiring her full-time soon!
In other news: we just shipped an order to the Portland retailer of one of our more unusual clients, Bicycle Fixation. They make dressy clothes for urban cyclists, and their designs must not only look good but be tough enough to stand up to daily pedaling in all weathers. The last order of sold out in a dizzyingly short time, and Bicycle Fixation is already put us on notice that there will be more sewing to be done very soon.
We're ready for them!

Boulee in Beverly Hills Lifestyle Magazine
We are proud to share that Boulee was featured in the profile section of the Summer 2010 issue of Beverly Hills Lifestyle Magazine!! The Rachel Dress, part of the Summer 2010 collection, was worn by Brooke Burke in the story "Brooke Burke - A Voice for the Modern Mom" (pg 79). The fabric design was created from a vintage handkerchief and developed (through the desiner Debbie Moradzedeh) by our very own Lanana. Welcome to LC Couture!
Lida Caputo now has a new web-site (as you are aware if you're reading this)!! A quick summary of the site includes: basic layout of the services we provide, contact info, and of course a gallery section. Here we are proud to display our current and past clients, along with examples of the caliber and variety of our sewing.Snapshots of our staff and office sprinkled throughout the site, give potential customers an idea of who they'll be working with and what to expect before they arrive. We're also excited to include this "NEWS" section, which will regularly be updated with exciting news of our customers and ourselves, along with any bits of information we decide we want to share with you.
